Came here for lunch with thefamily. The food was good. The service took a little bit, but as I said, the food was good so it seems they made everything from scratch. Very fresh. I also tried one of their new daily flavors of tamarind juice, with Chia seeds. It gave a little puppy jelly effect like Boba, only smaller and less chewy. Chung's had a very casual atmosphere, the servers speak both English in Spanish, they do carry a few Cuban items on the menu. It was a pleasant visit.

There are few businesses left on Flagler Street in Little Havana that have been there as long as Chong's. Predating the days of Google, Amazon, and Yelp, this little spot has seen Miami grow in leaps and bounds... Way back then, when the old Firestone Service Center was on Flagler and 12th Avenue, Chong's was a busy little place. Constantly plating out special fried rice in combination platters for the working men and women of Little Havana and keeping families fed every weekend. Fast forward to this modern digital age, and you will find that time stood still in this little corner of life. The combination plates still come with special fried rice and those homemade shrimp and pork eggrolls that make your mouth water are deliciously greasy. Prices have kept up with inflation, but remain affordable, and the portions are enough for two hungry people. This is that little hole in the wall eatery that is perfect for those trips down memory lane over a cold beer and no-frills comfort food. Park in the back, sit at the big picture window in the front, and just watch life walk by over a plate of sweet and sour chicken. This one is going on the BBB (Bueno, Bonito, y Barato) list for old time's sake.....
